Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue have issued a public appeal to help find the owner of a barn owl in their care.
Volunteers say the bird is in “fantastic condition,” adding that it is clear he hasn’t been missing for very long. They are hoping to reach the owner and return the bird to its home as soon as possible. Sadly, they have been unable to reach the birds owner despite it wearing a ring.
A spokesperson said: “This Barn Owl was brought to us by one our collection volunteers yesterday after landing in a garden, and then onto a residents arm! The bird is wearing a ring but sadly, the mobile registered to the ring is unreachable.
“The Barn Owl is in fantastic condition, it’s clear to see that it’s a well cared for, and likely hasn’t been out in the wild for too long.
