DocksFest unveils showstopper stage!

he organisers behind an exciting new music festival which is heading to Cleethorpes this summer have unveiled their ‘showstopper stage’ in their latest update.

Production company Dirty Docks Ltd, in collaboration with Grimsby brewery Docks Beers and venue Docks Academy, are set to host the upcoming festival known as Docksfest this July.

The update comes after it was announced that Razorlight would be headlining the event, alongside a line-up which features Frank Turner, Feeder, The Lottery Winners, Afflecks Palace, Grimsby-based acts Orphan Boy and HEALER, and local comedian Lloyd Griffith.

Will Douglas, festival founder and Director of Dirty Docks, Docks Beers and Docks Academy, said: “We’re really excited to bring DocksFest to Meridian Showground. Our team has worked tirelessly to curate this amazing festival lineup of both renowned and emerging artists. As well as chart topping acts, I’m pleased we will get to shine a spotlight on the local music scene with the talents of Orphan Boy and Healer.

“We will also have acoustic performances from other local musicians on another stage. It’s a blend of established and emerging artists that we’ve been programming successfully at Docks Academy. We can’t wait to share this incredible day with music lovers from near and far. It should be a real celebration of our community, culture, and the power of live music to bring people together.

“Tickets are selling fast – we’ve sold nearly 60% of the tickets in two months. VIP sold out back in December – within two weeks of launch.”

The artists for the acoustic stage in the VIP tent will be announced soon – these will all be local musicians.

DocksFest will take place at Meridian Showground in Cleethorpes on Saturday, July 6 2024 – tickets are on sale via the DocksFest website or from Docks Beers or from Howlin’ Jacks Record Store.
