Police investigating a violent incident outside The Swashbuckle Pub in Cleethorpes yesterday, Sunday 4 February, say they have released a man who was arrested at the scene without charge.
Officers were called to Grant Street at around 3am following reports of an altercation between two people. A section of the road was taped off for several hours, and officers were seen washing away a large pool of blood. A 50-year-old man was later reported to have been hospitalised for a head injury which is not believed to be serious at this time.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He has since been released without charge.
In an updated statement Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said: “As part of our investigation, a 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has since been released without charge.”
