A new branch of Oak Furnitureland has opened on Alexandra Retail Park.
This unit previously housed Grimsby’s only Argos store before it closed back in 2023 as part of a national reduction of standalone Argos stores, and a move towards opening more outlets within Sainsbury’s supermarket instead.
It was initially thought that the unit would become a health and fitness club. The application was given the green-light, but the plans later fell through.
Now, the lot has reopened as Oak Furnitureland store instead.
Discussing the new store, a spokesperson: “Our Grimsby furniture store is the ideal place to find beautiful pieces that will bring the perfect finishing touch to your bedroom, living room, office, and dining room. Stop by and shop a huge selection of high quality furniture, including ultra-comfy sofas, mattresses and real oak beds, TV units and wardrobes.“
