The family of Olive Wilkinson, who was murdered in 1983, have released a never-before-seen photograph of her as Humberside Police continue their investigation into the tragic incident.
On Friday 10 June 1983, 36-year-old Olive Wilkinson was found dead having sustained fatal injuries inside her family home on Montague Street, Cleethorpes.
A murder investigation was launched but despite extensive lines of enquiry and a number of renewed appeals the case has remained unsolved and there have been no new leads until last week, when a man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has since been released on conditional bail.
Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Amy Keane-Christie said: “Over the course of the last eight days, my team of specialist trained detectives have been continuing to progress the investigation.
“As a part of that work, I am pleased that following our renewed appeal for information and at the conclusion of our searches, a number of new lines of enquiry are now being explored in connection with Olive’s murder.
“Whilst these are ongoing, I hope the release of Olive’s photo may help people remember her. I would still appeal to anybody who has any information, no matter how small, that thinks it may assist our investigation in some way, to please get in touch with us”.
