New ‘board game cafe’ to open in Cleethorpes

A new gaming café where customers can enjoy board games alongside food and drink is set to open in Cleethorpes.

Roll The Dice Café will open at Meridian Point Retail Park in the coming weeks.

The establishment will serve traditional hot and cold food and drink, a bar, and will offer a selection of board games for families and gaming groups young and old to enjoy.

Owner Michelle Andrews told Gi Grimsby News that he has already accumulated over 600 different games, including classics such as Monopoly and chess, as well as more digitalised modern games. He explained that he plans to add new games daily.

Michelle continued: “We do board game evenings at home with my kids, but they are all grown up now. It’s just something that I think the town needed – we’ve been to a couple across the country and we thought it was a good idea.

“We’ve got lots of new games, it’s not just the classics, and it’s for everybody, we’re hoping to have space for D&D players and Magic The Gathering players.”

Renovation work is currently underway, with Roll The Dice Café expected to open within the next few weeks.
