Parts of A18 to close for ‘maintenance’

Routine maintenance works are due to take place at a section of road this month.

North East Lincolnshire Council announced routine maintenance works on A18 Barton Street between the A46 Laceby Crossroads and the southern borough boundary near Ludborough.

The works will include carriageway repairs, drainage repairs and maintenance, vegetation cutting and sign cleaning.

The works will begin on Monday 24 June and be completed on Friday 28 June.

The works will be carried out in three sections as detailed below:

Section one will be the A46 to Barnoldby le Beck roundabout will take place on Monday 24 June.

Section two is Barnoldby le Beck roundabout to Ashby Hill roundabout from Tuesday 25 June until Wednesday 26 June.For section three, Ashby Hill roundabout to the borough’s boundary near Ludborough from Thursday 27 June until Friday 28 June.

A full road closure will be in place on each Section for the dates identified above.

Each road closure will be in place from 7.30am until 6pm to ensure the works can be carried out safely.

A diversion route will be in place between the A46 and the A16.During all sections of the works, access to residential properties and businesses will be maintained.

North East Lincolnshire Council stated please note the following:

Access between Brigsley and East Ravendale will be maintained across Ashby Hill roundabout throughout the closure.

Access to Laceby Manor, Oaklands Garden Centre and Best Western Oaklands Hall will only be accessible from the A46 Laceby crossroads roundabout.

Access to Willow Lakes Lodges and Landmark Café will be maintained via Ashby Hill roundabout.

Access between Beelsby and Barnoldby le Beck will be maintained via the new A18 roundabout at the Waltham Road junction.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed to advise motorists of the works. Local diversion routes for the closure will also be in place to direct motorists.
