Man wanted in connection with Grimsby burglaries caught by police

Humberside Police have arrested a man previously wanted in connection with burglaries across Northern Lincolnshire.

Officers launched a public appeal to help find 42-year-old Christian Willoughby in connection to multiple crimes in Grimsby and Scunthorpe back in June.

Officers said they were ‘keen to speak with him’, and that they were doing ‘everything they could’ to find him.

In an update shared by the force this week, police confirmed that he had been located and charged with two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of burglary.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police wrote: “Thank-you to everybody who shared our wanted appeal to locate Chistian Willoughby from Grimsby.

“Christian Willoughby, 42, of Candlesby Road, Grimsby has since been charged with two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of burglary.”

He appeared at Grimsby Magistrates Court yesterday, Thursday 4 July, where he was remanded into custody to appear at court at a later date.
