The unit which previously housed the Jungle Zoo in Cleethorpes has been almost entirely destroyed after a fire tore through it last night, Thursday 4 July.
The location has been vacant since the business closed because of financial difficulties back in October 2022.
Humberside Fire & Rescue and Humberside Police were called to the scene at around 11PM after they received reports of a suspected arson attack. The incident resulted in a large response, with at least eight emergency service vehicles in attendance at the time.
A scene guard remains in place this morning.
Photos taken at the scene this morning show the extent of the devastation. The majority of the building has been destroyed.
Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue have been approached for a statement.
