Public warned ‘not to approach’ convicted stalker

Lincolnshire Police have warned the public not to approach a man who is wanted on recall to prison, and who has links to Louth.

Officers have launched a manhunt in a bid to locate Mark Preston, who also goes by Mark King. The 31-year-old is believed to have links to the Horncastle, Spilsby, Mablethorpe, Louth and Leeds areas. He is described as white, with short brown facial hair and hair and a medium build.

His prison recall is due to breaching his licence, which he was granted following a conviction of stalking causing serious alarm/distress.

Police have appealed to the public to report sightings by calling 999, quoting incident number 180 of 11 October, but have stressed that he should not be approached.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We believe that there will be someone with information about his whereabouts and we would remind people that it is an offence to assist a suspected offender with the intention of preventing their arrest. If you are fearful of making a report, you can also share information anonymously via Crimestoppers.“
