A woman has been arrested after an assault at a bus stop in Grimsby.
According to reports, a man and a woman were waiting at a bus stop on Laceby Road between 4PM and 4.20PM on Sunday 26 January. A vehicle is said to have pulled up beside them, before two men exited the car. One of the men allegedly assaulted the man at the bus stop before both men returned to the vehicle, fleeing the scene.
A male victim sustained serious facial injuries and a broken arm. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Humberside Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses.
Detective Inspector Jayne Coutts said: “Whilst we’re in the early stages of our investigation, we believe this incident to be between individuals known to each other.
“I can confirm that following our enquiries so far, an 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in police custody whilst investigations continue.
“We would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or believes they may have information or dashcam footage from around the time it occurred, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 25*11443.”
A spokesperson for the force added: “Alternatively, you can remain report anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
