Permission has been granted for the construction of seven new homes near a water tower in Cleethorpes.
In early 2024, an application was submitted to North East Lincolnshire Council for a development comprising five terraced houses and two semi-detached homes on a plot of land on Pelham Road. This site was formerly home to Findus Foods, as well as Unifab Engineering Ltd and Delta Engineering Company.
The plans also include provisions for nine parking spaces and an electric vehicle charging point for each property.
At the time of the application, construction was already underway on 14 other homes at the same location. The proposal said the development would provide a range of dwellings for families, professionals and retirees looking for views over Chapman’s Pond and the Humber.
The proposal for an additional seven homes has now been approved.
