With Easter Sunday coming tomorrow and the return to school only a mere few days away, what’s on in North East Lincolnshire this Easter?
Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway
The folks over at Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway are busy as usual, staging the Easter Eggspress until the 21st, with an Easter trail and the Easter Bunny out and about. There’s no need to book in advance, as you can simply turn up on the day.
Nunny’s Farm’s Alice in Wonderland Easter weekend
The annual Alice in Wonderland-themed Easter weekend has returned to Nunny’s Farm, with animal walks, talks, and meet and greets going on all throughout this weekend, as well as some special themed activities.
Easter Sunday at Waltham Windmill
Waltham Windmill will be open from 10:00 until 16:00 tomorrow, hosting their Easter Bonnet Competition, open to all ages with prizes awarded throughout the day.
Ice cream and refreshments will be available, with some special Easter flavours, and the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Model Engineering Society will be running their miniature trains if the weather holds!
Steam train rides over Easter weekend with Lincolnshire Wolds Railway
Going a little further afield to Lincolnshire, the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway will be running their prized steam train, giving visitors a chance to “enjoy a nostalgic trip back in time” tomorrow and Monday.
With adult tickets from £10 and children under three going free, the whole family can have a day out, with even dogs permitted!
During your visit, there will be spaces for picnics, and an egg hunt is being staged by the team at the station.
Trains will run from 11:10 to 16:10 at the North Thoresby station and from 10:45 to 15:45 at the Ludborough station.
The Easter Bunny will be visiting The Grosvenor
If you’re looking for the Easter Bunny this weekend, they’ll be hopping around The Grosvenor this Easter Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00, with an Easter breakfast available, with tickets for kids costing £10.
