A man has been charged following an incident in Grimsby that prompted an armed police response last week.
Officers were called to Robert Pearson Mews, off Ladysmith Road, shortly after 5pm on Thursday 17 April, after reports of a man making threats outside a property.
The road was closed for a period to allow emergency services to work safely, and a 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
Phillip Wells, from Grimsby, has since been charged with two counts of making threats to kill, according to Humberside Police.Â
He appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 19 April, and was released on conditional bail. He is due to appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
