Motorcyclists involved in antisocial behaviour across North East Lincolnshire are facing police action, including warnings and vehicle seizures, as part of a crackdown by Humberside Police.
Officers have been sharing updates on social media to highlight their targeted efforts.
In one case, following a report of antisocial vehicle use in March, a rider was issued a warning aimed at deterring future incidents. However, within months, the same individual was reported again for similar behaviour. As a result, their vehicle was seized. A second rider, also seen acting antisocially on a moped, was stopped and issued a warning notice on the spot.
Most recently, on the evening of Wednesday 30 April, plain-clothed officers carried out an operation focusing on the antisocial use of motorcycles and related thefts. One electronic bike was seized in New Waltham after it was seen being ridden in a disruptive manner. Five additional warnings were issued during the operation.
The enforcement is part of Operation Yellowfin, Humberside Police’s dedicated initiative to tackle vehicle-related antisocial behaviour.
According to the force, the operation has already resulted in the recovery of hundreds of stolen or abandoned vehicles and the prosecution of numerous offenders.
