Police have cordoned off part of Wellington Street in Grimsby this evening, Friday 2 May, following reports of a man taking to the roof of a building in an attempt to avoid arrest.
Officers were called to the scene this afternoon and have since closed the road between Victor Street and Albion Street while the incident is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers are currently in attendance on Wellington Street in Grimsby after a man has reportedly taken to the roof of a house to avoid arrest this afternoon (Friday, 2 May).
“A cordon is in place to protect the safety of residents and emergency services, and we ask that people avoid the area whilst we bring the incident to a safe conclusion as quickly as possible.”
