Woman rescued after fall near Humber Bridge

A woman was rescued after falling onto rocks at the edge of the Humber Estuary.

Emergency services were called to Hessle Foreshore around 7am on Thursday 1 May, following reports of the incident where a woman had fallen onto some rocks near the edge of the water, close to the Humber Bridge. 

Humber Rescue was tasked by the Coastguard and arrived at the scene alongside Humberside Fire & Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

With the tide rising, Humber Rescue provided water safety cover while fire crews assisted the casualty. 

The woman was safely rescued and transferred into the care of paramedics before being taken to hospital.
