A 26-year-old man has been arrested after police were called to reports of a man on a roof in Grimsby.
Officers were called to Wellington Street yesterday, Friday 2 May, following reports of an incident at a property. Upon arrival, a man took to the roof to evade arrest.
A cordon was in place until the situation was dealt with and the man came down from the rooftop. He was arrested on suspicion of assault, rape and intentional strangulation.
He remains in police custody.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We would like to thank the public and the local community for their patience and understanding whilst the incident was dealt with and brought to a safe conclusion.”
