Lincolnshire Police have released an update as part of their ongoing investigation into the death of a woman in Louth.
Officers were called to a property on St Bernard’s Close at around 4pm on Thursday, 1 May, where the body of a woman in her 40s was found.
In a statement issued on Friday, police said they are “keeping an open mind about the cause and circumstances of her death.”
A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. Police have now confirmed that he has been released on bail.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out, and a toxicology report will be compiled to assist with the investigation.
A spokesperson said: “We remain on scene and expect to be there for at least the next few days while we make initial enquiries, which will include speaking with local residents.“
The force is continuing to appeal for information and witnesses.
