An 83-year-old man has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Officers were called to Doncaster Road, near to the junction of Berkley Circle, in Scunthorpe yesterday on Saturday 3 May, following reports of a collision.
According to reports, the incident occurred at around 10.15pm when a white Jaguar XF was travelling eastbound along Doncaster Road before colliding with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 83-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive treatment to serious injuries.
Police are now appealing for information and witnesses.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision, and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time and witnessed the collision, or anyone who has any dashcam or CCTV footage, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 578 of 3 May.”
