Residents on Broadway in Grimsby came together today, Monday 5 May, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a vibrant street party.
VE Day – which commemorates the end of the Second World War in Europe – will be marked with events across North East Lincolnshire throughout the week. This street party saw neighbours come together in costume for 1940s themed festivities, and is just one of many ways the community is paying tribute.
