Humberside Police have continued their efforts to tackle anti-social motorbike use in North East Lincolnshire, resulting in more bike seizures and warnings being issued.
Officers have been sharing their progress on social media, showcasing targeted enforcement under Operation Yellowfin – a campaign aimed at curbing vehicle-related antisocial behaviour.
In one case, a bike spotted being used antisocially on footpaths in New Waltham led to a warning for its owner. After continued issues, the vehicle was ultimately seized.
Another motorbike was confiscated following multiple reports of illegal riding on roads, footpaths, and fields around Grimsby. Neighbourhood Policing Team officers located the rider, who was found to be uninsured. He was arrested for dangerous driving and failing to stop for police, and taken into custody.
Operation Yellowfin has already led to the recovery of hundreds of stolen or abandoned vehicles and the prosecution of numerous offenders, according to the police.
