Two men have been recalled to prison after a series of shop thefts in North East Lincolnshire.
31-year-old Steven Avis and 22-year-old Will Cook have both been charged following incidents at multiple shops in Grimsby and Cleethorpes between Wednesday 30 April, and Tuesday 6 May.
Avis was charged with four counts of shop theft following reports of a man shops on Corporation Road and Yarborough Road in Grimsby, as well as two shops on Carr Lane in Cleethorpes, where he is alleged to have taken a number of items without making payment.
He was remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Grimsby Magistrates Court yesterday morning, Thursday 8 May. He was subsequently recalled to prison.
Will Cook, 22, has been charged with two counts of shop theft after a man entered a supermarket in Grimsby and a shop in Cleethorpes, allegedly taking a number of items, including steaks, without making payment.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court yesterday, Thursday 8 May, where he was also recalled to prison.
