Cleethorpes Paddling Pool has officially opened to the public for the sixth year in a row, having recently undergone upgrades to the fountain.
Speaking to Gi Grimsby News Nathan Taylor, owner of the Discovery Centre which houses both the sandpit and paddling pool, said: “We are hopeful of a busy summer ahead!
“In 2019 Your Community Hub took control at no cost to the tax payer and for the first time the pool opened as a totally free facility with no hidden costs. Now, the pool has opened again after another highest year for footfall, showing that free community assets like this still have value in our local community.
“We are striving to forge a meaningful relationship with the council to further enhance the facility in future years beyond our current lease, but this is a work in progress.
“We’ve carried out some repairs on fountain which is now higher than it has been previous years. We look forward to a smooth successful season.”
Both Discovery Centre sites are free to the public, with the paddling pool open every day between 10AM and 4PM.
