A former Humberside Police inspector has been charged with multiple child sex offences.
Ian Walpole is facing charges of causing the sexual exploitation of a child under the age of 13, as well as three counts of making indecent photographs of children.
He was arrested in July 2024 following the initial allegations and has been suspended from duty since then while a criminal investigation was carried out.
Walpole has been released on bail and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 22 May.
