The captain of the container ship involved in a fatal collision in the North Sea has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
Vladimir Motin, 59, of Russia, last appeared at the Old Bailey in London, in April.
As previously reported, the cargo vessel Solong collided with the anchored oil tanker Stena Immaculateon Monday, 10 March. Thirty-six crew members from both ships were rescued, however one crew member sadly died.
However, Vladmir Motin appeared at the Old Bailey today (Friday), and pleaded not guilty to manslaughter by gross negligence, after being charged over the death of Mark Angelo Pernia, 38.
It is understood Pernia was working in the forward deck of the Solong at the time.
