Police dog’s ‘busy shift’ that led to two arrests

A police dog had a busy shift this week, after leading officer’s to making two arrests in one night.

Police Dog Frisco had a ‘busy shift’ on Tuesday night earlier this week, assisting Humberside Police officers.

For starters, in the early hours, PD Frisco joined officers after they received a report of a window being damaged at a property in Cleethorpes around 1am on Wednesday, 28 May.

A man was reported to have gained access to a property by climbing a back fence, and when officers arrived PD Frisco was deployed and a 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

The man remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.

Shortly after, Frisco was back at it in Cleethorpes, with officers receiving reports of an assault in a property.

At around 2.05am a man reportedly then left the scene of the property.

Officers and PD Frisco attended and following an extensive search of the area, PD Frisco located a 41-year-old man, who was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault.

The man was further arrested the day after on suspicion of two counts of assaulting a police officer. The man remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.

A Humberside Police Spokesperson praised PD Frisco:

“PD Frisco and all our other amazing police dogs protect and serve our communities every day.”
