A new park and ride system will be in place for this year’s Armed Forces Weekend, aimed at easing congestion as tens of thousands of visitors are expected to descend on Cleethorpes.
North East Lincolnshire Council is urging people to plan their journeys in advance, with several travel options being introduced to help manage the influx of attendees.
Park and ride services will run every 15 minutes from three key locations: Cleethorpes Memorial Hall, Grimsby Institute, and Origin Way on Europarc.
In addition, a shuttle service will operate between Cleethorpes Leisure Centre and Meridian Showground. This will run:
• Friday: from 12pm to 5pm
• Saturday: from 10am to 1pm, and again from 3pm to 6pm
• Sunday: from 10am to 6pm
