Quad bike owner facing ‘significant costs’ after having vehicle seized

A quad bike owner is facing substantial recovery costs after their vehicle was seized in response to ongoing reports of antisocial behaviour.

On Tuesday 10 June, officers from Immingham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team confiscated the bike after receiving numerous complaints about its involvement in nuisance riding and antisocial use in the area.

Following the seizure, the owner will be liable for significant recovery charges.

In a social media statement, Humberside Police thanked residents for their continued vigilance, saying: “We are aware of the detrimental impact these vehicles & riders cause to the community. We encourage you to continue reporting the issue to police.”

Anyone with concerns regarding antisocial behaviour can contact Humberside Police’s non-emergency number – 101.
