A man has sadly died after getting into difficulty in the sea in Lincolnshire.
Emergency services were called to the area on Monday 30 June, where lifeguards are reported to have recovered an unconscious member of the public from the water.
According to a spokesperson for RNLI Lifeguards Lincolnshire, the man was taken from the water south of central beach, after he got into difficulty.
Tragically, the spokesperson confirmed that despite their best efforts to resuscitate him, the casualty sadly died at the scene.
A spokesperson for RNLI Lifeguards Lincolnshire said: “Our thoughts go to the family and friends affected by the incident, along with many of the beach visitors who witnessed the tragic events at the time. Thanks to EMAS and Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance who also attended.”
