Cannabis grow discovered after fire in Grimsby

A man has been arrested after emergency services discovered a cannabis grow after being called to a fire.

Police and fire services were called to a property on Park Street in Grimsby at around 11PM yesterday evening, Thursday 3 July.

Upon entering the property, officers discovered a suspected cannabis grow.

A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of the cultivation of a Class B drug. He remains in police custody.

A scene guard is now in place to ensure the property is made safe and to allow to allow seizure of the grow.

A Humberside Police Spokesperson said no one was believed to have been injured as a result of the fire.

“Anyone with information that may assist with our enquiries is asked to contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 605 of 3 July,” the spokesperson added.
