An investigation has been launched after a popular farm was targeted by arsonists.
Emergency services were called to Pink Pig Farm on Holme Lane, Scunthorpe, at around 7.30PM yesterday, Thursday 3 July, after around 30 hay bales were set alight inside a building.
The fire resulted in significant damage to the property, and has forced the owners to close part of the site today.
Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved, and we would appeal to anyone with any information that may assist our enquiries to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting investigation reference 25*91903. This includes anyone who may have been in the area at the time, particularly dog walkers or others passing through who may be able to provide any information.”
