Tragedy as teenage girl dies after being hit by car in Cleethorpes

A 16-year-old girl has sadly died following a collision in Cleethorpes. 

Emergency services were called to Cambridge Street at around 8.27PM on Saturday 28 June, following reports that a grey BMW saloon, travelling towards St Peter’s Avenue, had collided with a pedestrian crossing the road.

A teenage girl was taken to hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries. She sadly died in hospital in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 5 July.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident, to contact us. Anyone with information is asked to call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 532 of 28 June.”
