£3k boost helps wildlife charity buy new rescue trailer

A local wildlife charity has received a £3,000 donation to help fund a specialist rescue trailer for its animal welfare work.

Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue was awarded the donation by renewable energy company Ørsted and has used the funds to purchase a much-needed incident response trailer. The new equipment is designed to transport essential tools and gear for technical wildlife rescues.

The charity plays a vital role in the ethical rehabilitation of injured animals across the region. The trailer will significantly enhance volunteers’ ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, helping ensure animals receive the care they need to recover.

“We are incredibly grateful to Ørsted for their generous donation,” said Aaron Goss, Rescue Manager at Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue.

“The new rescue trailer will be an invaluable asset to our team, allowing us to respond more effectively to wildlife emergencies and continue our mission of safeguarding the natural heritage of Cleethorpes. As a wholly donation-funded service, we rely on the generosity of the community and businesses in the area to sustain our operations and continue our vital work. Every contribution helps us to deliver the best possible service for wildlife.”
