Sun to shine over Grimsby and Cleethorpes for bank holiday weekend

Temperatures are expected to increase in Grimsby and Cleethorpes over the bank holiday weekend, according to the Met Office.

A spokesperson for the organisation said temperatures will climb slightly, having dipped over the past week.

They said: “High pressure will be building towards the weekend to provide a largely settled picture. Temperatures will climb slightly as well, not high as the recent heat, but some pleasant warmth.”

Settled conditions are expected throughout most of the weekend, with sunny spells and light winds on Saturday 23 August, with temperatures in the Humber region expected to reach between 18-20C. On Sunday 24 August, temperatures will rise again, stabilising at around 22C.

Monday is expected to be the warmest day of the weekend, with temperatures reported to reach 25-26C.
