Man charged after thefts in Grimsby

A man has been charged with multiple offences following a string of shop thefts in Grimsby.

More than 20 incidents are reported to have occurred between Wednesday 2 April and Wednesday 27 August 2025.

Wesley Jones, 41, from Grimsby, has been charged with 22 counts of shop theft, two counts of using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence, and one count of assault by beating.

He appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 28 August, where he was remanded into custody. 

He is due to appear at court again at a later date.
