An additional 2,000 tickets have been secured for Grimsby Town’s Carabao Cup second-round clash against Sheffield Wednesday.
Town travel to Hillsborough tomorrow, Tuesday 16 September, for a 7.45pm kick-off, following their dramatic penalty shootout victory over United at Blundell Park in the previous round.
The club confirmed it will cover any shortfall once sales close on the extra 2,000 allocation, after conditions required all tickets to be sold for the allocation to be valid. The Mariners Trust has also stepped in with strong support, purchasing 200 tickets to distribute to its members free of charge.
Remaining tickets are available until 3pm on Tuesday, either online or from the GTFC Ticket Office. Collections will be at Hillsborough, with unreserved seating in the North Stand.
The additional allocation remains subject to approval by Sheffield Wednesday’s Safety Advisory Group and South Yorkshire Police. Refunds will be issued if the tickets are not approved.
