Grimsby Town have reached the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, knocking out Premier League giants Manchester United in a dramatic penalty shoot-out last month before defeating Championship side Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 last night.
More than 6,000 travelling fans packed two stands at Hillsborough, outnumbering the home support two to one. The away end erupted when Jaze Kabia struck in the second half to seal Grimsby’s first win at the ground since 2003.
