A Grimsby man has completed a 34-hour run and walk along Cleethorpes seafront in memory of his late nephew, Jaxx-Jay.
Liam Williamson took on the challenge to honour the 34 hours his nephew lived after being born in September 2022, before tragically passing away the following day.
The fundraiser was held in aid of Sands, a national charity that supports families – including Liam’s – affected by stillbirth and neonatal loss. Sands also funds vital research into the causes of infant deaths, aiming to raise awareness and prevent future tragedies.
So far, Liam’s fundraising efforts have raised just over £1,200, with donations continuing to come in.
And his journey isn’t over — Liam has also signed up to run the London Marathon in 2026, once again in support of Sands, as he continues his mission to raise awareness and funds for baby loss support.
