Police have launched an investigation following a roof fire at the former police station in Cleethorpes.
Emergency services were called to Princes Road shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday 1 October. The site, which is currently subject to redevelopment plans into housing, has faced numerous objections over potential flood risk.
When crews arrived, the blaze had already burned out. A search of the area was carried out, and no injuries were reported.
An investigation is now underway to determine the circumstances, and officers are appealing for information.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Enquiries remain ongoing to determine the full circumstances around the report, and we would ask anyone with any information, or CCTV from around the area to please contact us via our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 418 of 1 October. Alternatively, you can report anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
