78-year-old arrested over cannabis grow 

A 78-year-old man has been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis grow in Grimsby. 

Officers for Humberside Police’s Kinetic Intervention Team and the Grimsby East Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at a property on Convamore Road on Thursday 2 October.

During a search officers discovered evidence of a suspected cannabis grow, along with a quantity of class A drugs. Electricity was also found to have been abstracted dangerously. 

A 78-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection with the find, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “If anyone has any information or concerns about drugs in their area, please speak to officers when you see them out and about, report online or call our non-emergency number 101.
