Cyclist seriously injured after being hit by car

A cyclist has been hospitalised with serious injuries after colliding with a car in Waltham. 

Emergency services were called to New Road at around 9.20 on Thursday 9 October. According to reports, the cyclist had fallen on to the road between the junction of High Street and Kirk Gate when the driver of a grey Seat Ibiza collided with the cyclist when turning on to New Road.

A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital to receive treatment to serious injuries as a result.

Humberside Police are now appealing for information. 

A spokesperson for the force said: “We would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, or has any CCTV or dashcam footage, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 562 of 9 October.”
