Pair arrested after drugs and firearm seized from Scunthorpe house

Two people have been arrested after police discovered suspected Class A drugs and a firearm during a search of a property in Scunthorpe.

Officers attended an address on Bideford Court at around 5pm on Monday, 13 October, following reports of criminal activity.

During the search, police seized a firearm, a quantity of cash, and what are believed to be suspected Class A drugs.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a Class A drug, common assault of an emergency worker, and possession of a firearm.

A 47-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

Enquiries are ongoing.
