Boy, 15, in custody after van torched in Grimsby 

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a van was set alight outside B&Q. 

Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue were called to reports of a car and a wheelie bin on fire at a car park just off Sheepfold Street in Grimsby, at around 4.10am on Monday 3 November. The fire was extinguished, and nobody is reported to have been injured. 

A 15-year-old boy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of arson. He remains in police custody.

Humberside Police are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 36 of 3 November. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
