A man has been charged after a police officer was seriously injured in a knife attack during an arrest in Cleethorpes.
Officers were called to reports of an altercation on Sidney Street on Monday 3 November. While being detained, the suspect is alleged to have swung a knife at police, leaving one officer with serious injuries.
Nathan Meakin, 30, from Grimsby, has now been charged with grievous bodily harm without intent, attempted wounding with intent, and possession of a bladed article.
Meakin appeared before Grimsby Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday 5 November, and has been remanded in custody to appear at a later date.
