Three roads in Grimsby will be closed over the coming weeks to allow for new tactile paving and cycle lane improvements.
The works include removing existing traffic islands and installing new ones with tactile paving – also known as “foot braille” – to help pedestrians with visual impairments navigate public spaces safely.
The project is scheduled to run from Monday, 10 November to Friday, 21 November 2025, with traffic management measures in place throughout. Footpath access will be maintained, but on-street parking will be temporarily suspended.
Between these dates, Robinson Street East will be subject to a 24-hour full road closure between Pasture Street and Holme Street. Temporary 2-way traffic signals will be in force between Holme Street and Eastgate, with parking suspended on Robinson Street East between Holme Street and Eastgate.
A 24-hour full road closure will be in place between Pasture Street and the Bowling Green Lane entrance to AG Cash & Carry.
Sixhills Street will also be subject to a narrow traffic lane and a 24-hour suspension of the cycle lane between Sheepfold Street and Willingham Street.
