Three teenagers and a woman have been arrested after a group were reportedly seen smashing windows in Grimsby.
At around 7pm on Wednesday, 5 November, an off-duty police officer witnessed several youths causing damage to a property on Gilbey Road.
When the officer approached, the group fled the scene, prompting a brief chase. The officer managed to detain one of the teenagers, during which it is reported that two other teenagers and a woman assaulted him. Fortunately, the officer was not seriously injured.
Uniformed officers were quickly deployed to the area, and two 14-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy, and a 40-year-old woman were subsequently arrested nearby.
A 14-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and causing criminal damage to a property.
Another 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of threatening to damage or destroy property, burglary with intent to steal, and attempted actual bodily harm.
A 40-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.
All four remain in police custody assisting with ongoing enquiries at this time.
