The latest phase of roadworks in North East Lincolnshire is set to begin on Victoria Street this week.
Work will start near Victoria Retail Park at 7pm on Friday 14 November and is expected to finish by 4am on Monday 17 November.
Access to businesses will be maintained during opening hours, with visitors asked to use the King Edward Street entrance to reach Victoria Street Retail Park.
The scheme involves a full reconstruction of the southbound carriageway outside Victoria Retail Park, along with resurfacing extending up to just before Lower Spring Street, which North East Lincolnshire Council says is essential. A 24-hour southbound closure will be in place between Lower Spring Street and Market Street from 7pm on Friday until 4am on Monday.
Full closures will also take place between Lockhill Roundabout and Market Street on Saturday 15 November (8.30pm–4am) and Sunday 16 November (5pm–4am) to allow for road marking renewal. The section of Victoria Street North between Lockhill Roundabout and Lower Spring Street will remain open until 10.30pm.
The council said the works have been coordinated to follow Northern Powergrid’s recent activity in the area, claiming this will prevent any overlap or conflict between projects.
