Grimsby Town have confirmed that a precautionary pitch inspection will take place at 10.30am today, Saturday 15 November, following a full day of persistent rain in Cleethorpes.
Heavy downpours have saturated the area, leaving surfaces waterlogged and worsening conditions across the region. The prolonged rainfall has already caused flooding in several nearby towns, raising concerns about pitch safety and overall match readiness.
The club said officials have remained in close contact with match referee Martin Woods and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
