An inquest has opened into the death of a Cleethorpes teenager who tragically died in a collision last month.
Jamie Nolan, 17, died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash at the junction of Burgh Road and Scald Gate on Old Fen Bank, near Wainfleet, on the morning of Sunday, 26 October. The incident involved a white Volkswagen Polo.
A female passenger was taken to hospital with injuries described as potentially life-changing.
At the opening of the inquest, it was confirmed that results of a post-mortem examination, including toxicology, are still will be assessed alongside the condition of the road and the reason for the vehicle having left the road.
The coroner adjourned the hearing to a date next year, pending the outcome of a Lincolnshire Police investigation.
Jamie’s family has asked that donations in his memory be made to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
His family has requested no mourning clothes at the funeral service, which will take place at 2.15pm on Friday, 28 November, at Grimsby Crematorium.
